Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi has accused the Jubilee administration of sabotaging devolution.

Speaking on his second day of tour of the Coast region, Mudavadi said the Government was also frustrating civil society and trade unions.

Mudavadi, who was accompanied by MPs John Sakwa (Nambale) and Alfred Agoi (Sabatia), demanded the resignation of Health Cabinet Secretary Cleopa Mailu and his Principal Secretary John Muraguri whom he accused of sabotaging efforts to resolve the doctors' strike.

The former Deputy Prime minister addressed rallies at Kibaoni Bus Stage in Kilifi on Saturday and at Dabaso yesterday where he depicted Jubilee as a despotic regime.

Mudavadi claimed the ongoing industrial unrest involving doctors and university lecturers besides graft had dented Jubilee's legitimacy and Kenya's international standing.

Speaking at Kibaoni, Mudavadi assured Opposition supporters that the National Supper Alliance (Nasa) will remain intact towards the August 8 General Election and beyond.

He said he would seek the opposition's presidential ticket under Nasa and pledged to revive the Kenyan economy, improve equity and promote devolution if elected to lead Kenya.

Mudavadi claimed that Jubilee and the Uhuru administration have promoted exclusion and declined to address historical land injustices in Coast and other parts of Kenya.

"We need the Government of the people. The Government that will provide the right economy that will benefit every Kenyan and not a selfish government," said Mudavadi.

He has accused Jubilee government for failing to honour the Collective Bargaining Agreement it signed by doctors and lecturers who are now on strike.
