Bukusu, Sabaot and Eteso elders have endorsed governors Patrick Khaemba (Trans Nzoia) and Ken Lusaka (Bungoma) for second terms even as their rivals intensify campaigns to dislodge them from the coveted seats.

Under the famous Mabanga Peace Accord, that saw the three communities in the two counties share elective slots, the elders lauded the development records of the two governors saying it was satisfactory.

Reading out resolutions passed by the elders, Richard Walukano, the chairman of the implementation of the Mabanga Peace Accord, also backed the re-election of Trans Nzoia Senator Henry ole Ndiema.
