Support KDF in war against Al Shabaab

We are at war with extremists and we should remain unbowed. Nobody ever said that fighting the Al Shabaab was going to be a walk in the park.

Kenyans should use other countries as our benchmarks in regards to fighting terrorists. For example, Israel has not yet managed to fight the Hamas because terrorists use human shield for their protection. They build their army bases in civilian populations. But this does not mean that Israel has lost hope.

We should stop condemning the Government for failing to recall soldiers back home. If KDF troops withdraw, it will be an act of cowardice. We should not give Al Shabaab the chance.

It is true we've lost brilliant young Kenyans. Parents are grieving but if we put our heads together and keep our spirits high, most probably we will come up with a better lasting solution in combating terrorists.

Unlike our soldiers who are in uniforms, Al Shabaab is a guerilla outfit using cowardly crafted mechanisms to propel its agenda.

Let's support our soldiers morally, spiritually and physically.

This is a proxy war and yes it does concern us. We all need each other for one reason or another not simply because of the American dollar aid. There's more to it but we are too blind to see this.

Historically, prolonged occupation by foreign troops in a country has never worked. It just breeds from the occupied but if we come up with smarter solutions this history could be changed.

It's time to fully rally behind our soldiers. Let's stop being unpatriotic to our nation and shamelessly demanding our soldiers to return home. Instead let's give them the support they need.
