Taxi driver decides to rape bar maid as payment after she could not raise her fare

London: A married cab driver raped a barmaid in a lay-by when she did not have any money to settle her fare, the Old Bailey heard today.

Mohammad Rahman, 34, pulled the woman's clothes off and forced her to perform a sex act before raping her up against a wall, it is said.

The alleged victim, 22, said she got into Rahman's car believing he was a cabbie after a drunken night out with colleagues, but soon realised she had lost her bank card.

Rahman allegedly told her: "If you can't pay cash you will have to pay me some other way."

When she refused to have sex with him in a hotel, Rahman allegedly drove to a lay-by in Hammersmith, west London and said: "Because you haven't given me money, this is going to happen anyway."

The woman, who cannot be identified, told the court Rahman appeared to have a breast fetish.

"I just remember him leering at me in a creepy way", she said.

"He pushed me against the wall and was touching my boobs really weirdly.

"He pulled my top off and then took my bra off and threw them both on the floor.

"He was just being really forceful about touching my boobs.

"He pulled my trousers down and then pulled his down, but he couldn't get an erection so he got a bit pissed off."

She said Rahman then forced her to kneel and perform oral sex, then had sex with her against the wall.

"I was disgusted, I just wanted it over with," she added.

"He had disgusting hands.

"If I hadn't drunk so much, I would have ran."

The alleged victim had spent the evening with work colleagues at the London Fields Brewery, in London Fields, Hackney, drinking at least nine pints of beer as well as shots of tequila and whisky.

After arguing with one of her friends, she tried to hail a cab back to her home in west London but struggled to convince a driver to take her.

She conceded she was "beyond drunk" but she eventually flagged down Rahman who agreed to take her.

But she then realised she had left her bank card at the pub.

"I said I couldn't find my bank card so we would have to get money when he dropped me off", she said.

"He demanded money and I said I didn't have it."

She claimed Rahman stopped at Kings Cross and tried to convince her to go to a hotel room with him.

"He said if you can't pay cash you will have to pay me some other way", she said.

"Because you haven't given me money, this is going to happen anyway.

"He locked the door and carried on driving - I just remember sitting there still, not crying but just whimpering because I didn't know what to do.

"I didn't know what my options were, I was in a state."

She claimed Rahman stopped the car near the Hogarth Roundabout in west London and climbed into the back of the car.

She told the court Rahman then decided he could not have sex in his car because "this is my work", forcing the woman to get out instead.

"I was trying to protest but I was frozen, then he was trying to rub himself against me", she said.

"But I wasn't excited or turned on so he wasn't getting anything from me either."

She went on to claim that, after he raped her, Rahman dropped her off at her ex-boyfriend's house and she reported the alleged attack to police later that day.

"This defendant targeted her because she was so drunk and unable to put up a fight", said prosecutor Ailsa Williamson.

"He had sex with her knowing she wouldn't want to and knowing she wasn't consenting."

Rahman refused to answer questions after his arrest, apart from to tell officers he had a good relationship with his wife.

Ms Williamson said Rahman will argue the woman offered consensual sex as a form of payment, while the second count of oral sex did not happen.

Rahman, of Bunyan Road, Walthamstow, denies two counts of rape.
