By Standard Digital Reporter

Nairobi, Kenya:The conjoined twins who were admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital have passed on.

KNH Chief Executive Richard Lesiyampe told reporters that the twins, admitted at the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit, died at 1.05 am on Saturday due to persistent cardiac distress.

The boys were delivered at the Rift Valley Provincial General Hospital to Evelyn Omodho, 27, and were referred to KNH for further medical check up.

On Friday, specialists at the hospital announced that it was not possible to separate the twins surgically adding that more time was required for growth of the body and its organs.
