He is my joy

Eve Bridal: How did you meet?
Louryne: We first met at the church she used to attend when I had gone there to sing. We became friends, which led into dating. One thing led to another and then it came to this day and date.
EB: What did you like about each other?
Francis: She is beautiful and mature. I also like her simplicity and honesty at all times. She is God-fearing and a great cook and she is committed to the relationship too.
Louryne: I like the fear of the Lord in him. I love his company and sense of humour. He complements my weaknesses and he is a visionary man. He is one in a million.
EB: How long did you date and how was the experience?
Louryne: We dated for four years and even though it was an interesting experience, it wasn’t all a smooth run. We had our own share of hurtful and joyous moments. Our communication and forgiving series have led to this great day. The dating period gave us time to really know and appreciate each other despite the downfalls we had.
EB: What was the most interesting part of the wedding?
Francis: The reception was the best part of the wedding. It turned out better than we had expected.
EB: What challenges did you encounter when planning the wedding?
Louryne: We had individuals who wanted to dictate on how they would want the wedding to be contrary to what our arrangements were. We however managed to reach to an agreement for all parties to participate. The tailor who made the dress for the bride’s mum, aunties and grandma was a total disappointment. This made the bride to resort to buying readymade outfits at the eleventh hour.
EB: How was the proposal? Did he meet your dream proposal?
Louryne: The night before we travelled to his home for the official visit, he took me out for dinner after the meal, he sent a white forest, which I didn’t want because I was already full. He insisted that I should at least taste it. After the second scoop there was my ring. He went down on his knee and proposed. It was unexpected and people around cheered. I could not hold back the tears of joy as I said “yes”. Yes he did meet my dream proposal because I love surprises.
EB: What would you do differently if you were to wed again?
Francis: Nothing at all. The wedding was awesome — more than we had thought it would be.
EB: How was the honeymoon?
Francis: It was interesting and we had lots of fun. Quiet, serene and we loved the flora and fauna around. However, it was short and we couldn’t travel far because my wife had doctors’ instructions not to travel far, but all in all, it was worthwhile.
