Trouble is brewing at Gor Mahia after head coach Jose Marcelo absconded training for two days.

The Brazilian said he has pending issues with the officials to sort out before he can resume training.

This comes just three days after the team picked their second week in a row when they beat Zoo Kericho 1-0 in Kisumu to go to the top of the log.

“I have some issues with the office and I want them to be sorted out before I resume training,” he said.

The coach complained that such issues are a distraction to the team and wants them resolved quickly.

“As a team fighting for the title, we need to train in a condusive environment, but unfortunately this has not been the case. We have done our best as a technical bench to protect the players but it has not been easy,” he said.

Gor Mahia Secretary General Ben Omondi admitted that there were issues, but have been sorted out.

“There were normal issues between an employer and employee and we have sorted out everything. I am therefore surprised to hear that the coach has vowed not to go for training,” said the official.

Other sources said the coach and players are owed pending allowances since the beginning of the season.
