Murang'a Governor Mwangi wa Iria

The stand-off on Murang'a County budget is not ending soon with the area governor Mwangi Wa Iria insisting that issues raised by the county assembly are not valid.

Wa Iria has been on the spot from the assembly on claims that he allocated huge amounts to support activities meant for the national government while ignoring the devolved units.

Speaking while commissioning Mbugiti milk cooler in Gatanga, Wa Iria said the county assembly should support the community oriented development projects rather than being part to sabotage.

The budget, he said, had been designed to empower the general community.
