A man has been arrested after a woman in her 20s was raped while walking home through a cemetery in West Sussex.
She was on a footpath in Mount Noddy cemetery in East Grinstead, between Moat Road and Badgers Way, when she was attacked at about 02:00 BST on Saturday.
Two passers-by intervened and were threatened by the rapist, who then ran off, Sussex Police said.
A 23-year-old man from East Grinstead was arrested on Saturday evening.
He remains in custody, Sussex Police said.
