Police are still clueless over the killing of a top county official.
Detectives told The Nairobian they are yet to get any leads into the murder of Nairobi County Transitional Authority coordinator Eliud Baraza.
Baraza was shot dead by three gunmen on May 13 near his home in Tena estate.
The attackers had laid in wait before striking as soon as Baraza stepped out of his home.
A brief confrontation ensued when he refused to give the gunmen a bag he was carrying.
The gangsters shot him, taking the bag before escaping in a getaway car.
Baraza’s driver, who was on his way to pick him, found his boss already dead.
Buru Buru police boss Henry Kiambati said there has been no breakthrough.
“We are still investigating, but the situation remains the same. We have made no arrest or recovery,” he said.
Baraza was appointed the TA chief in Nairobi last February from Embu where he was serving as the director of Youth Affairs in Eastern province.
