Kenya: The International Criminal Court (ICC) has constituted two Trial Chambers for the two Kenyan cases.
In a statement sent to newsrooms on Tuesday, the ICC presidency said the decision was taken to ensure proper administration of justice, taking into consideration each Judge’s workload.
Trial Chamber V(a) which will be in charge of Ruto/Sang cases will be composed of Judges Olga Herrera Carbuccia, Robert Fremr and Chile Eboe-Osuji.
Trial Chamber V(b), in charge Uhuru’s case, will be composed of Judges Kuniko Ozaki, Robert Fremr and Chile Eboe-Osuji.
President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Ruto and former radio presenter are facing charges against humanity at the ICC following the 2007 post election violence.
