Nairobi, Kenya: Former High Court Judge Justice Mary Ang’awa who was declared unfit to continue serving in the Judiciary two months ago has challenged her removal in court.

Ang’awa wants the court to quash the entire decision of the Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board and be reinstated to continue serving as a judge.

In a petition lodged before a Nairobi Court on Monday, she accuses the vetting board of denying and violating her rights to a fair administrative action.

“The vetting process and determination were not lawful, reasonable and procedurally fair as required by the law,” says Justice Ang’awa.
