NAIROBI, KENYA: A suspected terrorist and his wife were Sunday morning killed and a grenade recovered from him in Nairobi’s Githurai Kimbo area.
Six police officers were injured in the operation that took almost eight hours. Police say the man planned to stage a terror attack in Nairobi when they tried to arrest him in his house on Saturday night.
He resisted and started to throw grenades at officers injuring the six officers who have been admitted in hospital in a stable condition. The bodies were moved to the mortuary. The suspect has been linked to arrested Elgiva Oliacha Bwire who was behind terror attacks in the city in 2011.
