A group of AFC Leopards fans leave for Mumias tonight to shore up struggling Ingwe.

Leopards play military side Ulinzi Stars at Mumias Complex tomorrow hoping to put behind a string of defeats, including 1-0 loss to Gor Mahia on Sunday.

Brimstone Investment Group, through its director Allan Kasavuli and Jared Nivaton, will facilitate a busload of fans to Mumias today evening for the dicey clash.

The group had also funded the team’s camp in Karen, Nairobi before the Gor Mahia clash.

“This is the time Leopards need their fans to show their true allegiance,” Kasavuli said.

“We cannot afford to abandon Ingwe at the hour of need. This club has more than six million followers and for that to count we must come out individually to support the team.”

“Despite outplaying Gor Mahia for long spells during their explosive clash at Nyayo Stadium, Leopards fell to a lightning counter attack that Dan Sserunkuma tapped in when goalkeeper Patrick Matasi’s attempted save fell kindly to him.

“If anyone needed evidence of how good Leopards can play, look no further than the Gor Mahia match.

“The players have shown how good they can play. So, as Brimstone, we have decided in our own capacity to have to continue motivating the playing unit,” Kasavuli said.

The group of fans drawn from the 20 branches of the 13-time Kenyan Premier League champions will leave Nairobi tonight for Mumias.

Kasavuli said a section of fans would attend the burial of former AFC Leopards, Kakamega High School and Motcom coach Chris Makokha, who passed away on Sunday.

“He served Kenyan football with dedication. So many players came through his hands. His contribution will never be forgotten,” he said.
