The Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board will investigate the alleged existence of brokers who impede administration of justice in Homa Bay Law Courts.

Speaking in a Homa Bay hotel during a meeting that was organised by the Vetting  Board, the body’s deputy chairperson Roselyne Odede said they will launch investigations into the allegations.

“We have told residents to communicate to us through email problems they face in the courts. However, we are going to send a team of investigators to find out the authenticity of the alleged court brokers,” Ms Odede said.

During the meeting, residents of Homa Bay County expressed concern that the courts had been invaded by brokers who were jeopardizing  administration of justice through demanding bribes in order to sway cases.

Residents accused the brokers of receiving huge amounts of money from people who had cases at the court.
