Machakos, Kenya: Leaders from both political and religious divides were united in mourning the late Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo who died at his Maanzoni home in Machakos County at the weekend.
Machakos Catholic Diocese Bishop Martin Kivuva described the late Kilonzo as a public servant whose contribution to the country will be fondly remembered.
“This country has lost a selfless leader whose contribution to national leadership has been exemplary,” the Bishop said during a Mass at Tala Central Catholic Church where he presided over ordination of a priest and some seven deacons.
Machakos County Speaker Benard Mung’ata hailed him as one of the most successful and respected law practitioners of our time.
