Nairobi, Kenya: Qatar Airways in partnership with Barclays Bank of Kenya has introduced a new payment channel for tickets through the bank’s branches.

Qatar Airways currently operates two daily flights from Nairobi to the airline’s hub in Doha, with onward connections to destinations across Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

The new payment method will make it more convenient for travellers, particularly those outside Nairobi, to pay for bookings.

“We already have a system where passengers can book their tickets on qatarairways.com/ke, but cash payments are made at our reservations office in Nairobi,” said Qatar Airways Senior Manager Africa Rashid Mordiffi.

“This payment solution targets passengers who wanted to book their tickets online but are still apprehensive about using their credit cards,” he added.
