As Uhuru Kenyatta takes over the wheels of power  from Mwai Kibaki, it has come to my attention that there was a miss in the farewell parties organised by various State organs. Lest we forget it was Coalition Government on a 50-50 basis between the two principals and I find it rather unfair for all the accolades being directed to only one principal of the coalition. Kibaki has received all the praise for all the development projects initiated by the Coalition Government while Raila has had to bare all the misfortunes encountered by the nusu  mkate government  in  their tenure. The  move  by  the  head  of  Civil  Service  Francis  Kimemia  hinting  out  a  possible  ceremony  due  after  Uhuru’s  swearing-in  to  bid  farewell  to  the  outgoing  Prime  minister  is rather  late  and  unnecessary.

I  have  a  strong  belief  that  the  said  ceremony  is  just , but  a  public  relations  act  Kimemia  is  putting  in  place  to  clear  the  air.
