KENYA: Two new men will be in charge of their teams when the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) enters its seventh week this weekend.
New AFC Leopards coach Luc Eymael begins work today when he guides his side against table toppers Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), while Katururi Sports will be under new coach James Omondi when they host Muhoroni Youth on Sunday.
Both coaches hwant to motivate their players to emerge from a poor performance in the past.
Said Eymael: “We need to build confidence in the players and help them return to winning ways. At the moment, the morale of the players is down because of their current form,
“This is what we have to work on and get down to it quickly and assure our fans that we can improve results.”
Leopards fired coach Tom Olaba over poor results after the former coach had managed only one win in five matches. The team bounced back in midweek with a 3-0 win over Homeboyz, something which should motivate them into today’s fixture.
Leopards will again look upto new sensantion Noah Wafula and Allan Wanga for goals. Their combination should help heal the club from goal drought.
The bankers are enjoying a good run this season as they occupy top spot in the standings. They beat Ulinzi Stars last weekend and will be in the mood to extend it against Leopards. Clifford Alwanga and Jacon Keli are the main men for the bankers.
New Karuturi Sports coach James Omondi must find a way to beat Muhoroni Youth tomorrow.
