A man was car jacked and shot dead in Nairobi’s Kayole estate.
The man was car jacked at Syokimau along Mombasa Road on Tuesday night and driven around the city before the gang shot him in a suspected confrontation.
Witnesses told police the killers pushed the deceased from a car and later shot him at close range before driving off.
Police say the same gang had earlier car jacked another motorist from Rongai and robbed him of his valuables before they attacked the deceased in a Subaru car.
Kayole police boss Samuel Mukinda said they are yet to identify the deceased but efforts to do so are ongoing.
In Kawangware, police shot dead two suspects in a robbery and recovered a gun and stolen property yesterday morning.
The public arrested two other suspects as they tried to escape on foot.
Police said the men had been mugging residents when an alarm was raised.
The officers gave chase and caught up with the two. Police also warned of an increase in armed robberies in the city.

Close to 30 people have been killed in the last three weeks in Nairobi in crime incidents that have sent security chiefs to the drawing board.
Police records show an increase in armed robberies and in particular mugging, carjacking and robbery with violence.
Nairobi Area police boss Benson Kibue attributes the incidents to poverty and easy availability of illegal guns to gangs. “We are working with other stakeholders to ensure that these crimes are contained at all costs.
