Eve Bridal: How did you meet?

Asli and Hassan: A common friend, Ibrahim Yusuf aka Jonny, introduced us.

EB: How did?you propose??

Hassan: Using the Islamic tradition. My family sent elders to?her family to request for their daughter’s hand in marriage;

EB: What do you love about each other?

Asli: He is humorous and patient.

Hassan: Her humility and simplicity.?

EB: How did you go about planning the wedding?

Asli and Hassan:?The wedding was entirely planned by our friends and family.

EB: What were the highlights?

Asli and Hassan: Seeing our families and friends honour our invitation. In particular seeing our mothers so happy.?We were honoured by the presence of Prime Minister?Raila Odinga and his wife Ida, and other dignitaries.

EB: Were you faced with any?challenges during the wedding?

Asli and Hassan: Apart from the numbers, there’s nothing else we can think of. All the events went on quite smoothly.

EB: Honeymoon plans?

Asli and Hassan: We were at the North and South Coast beach hotels. We will be travelling out of the country after the holy month of Ramadhan in September.

EB: Was your wedding day?anything?you dreamt?of?or imagined?

Asli and Hassan: Alhamdullilah (Thank God) it exceeded our expectations.

EB: Any lessons?you can pass?along?

Asli and Hassan: There’s really no need for a wedding planner. Good people who love you immensely can do an even greater job.
