Every individual starts a fitness regime with the good intention of getting fit and healthy. Despite these, there are factors that can sabotage your good intentions and make it all redundant.

Giving up too soon

When you plan to undergo a fitness regime, be patient and give your body time to go through a step-by-step changing process. Many people expect results a little bit too soon and when they don’t see any, they stop working out. Take everything one step at a time and you will get where you want to be.

Wrong diet

One may embark on a fitness regime that suits their body and give the desired results; but doing this without the right diet is vain. The wrong diet may only hinder your progress. Eat healthy and nutritious balanced diets.

Overtraining

Overtraining means you will be overworking your body. Once your body is tired, you will lack the psyche to go for your next session. This is not a shortcut to attaining what you want but it will only hinder your progress.

Injuries

These are unavoidable. When they happen, wait until you heal and get a go ahead from your physician and trainer to work out.

Excuses

Lack of consistency

The perfect workout means having consistent sessions. Consistency helps your body adjust to your exercise schedule and over the years ensures, you have a healthy body.

Setting unachievable goals

Have attainable goals that will not strain you. Goals that are too high to achieve will end up making you give up along the way.

Commitment

You need to commit to exercising. Lack of commitment usually leads to skipping of exercise and not doing the whole workout sessions. Make your workout part of your daily activities.

Friends

Hanging out with your friends is an easier thing to do than going to sweat out at the gym. When it comes to your body and health, it is you who owns it and therefore, only you can help yourself. Do not let those sweet ideas distract you from your goals.
