Woman main suspect in murder of her 4-year-old daughter in Nyandarua

A 23-year old woman from Giking viollage in Nyandarua County is a lead suspect in the murder of her daughter aged 4, the area OCPD Mr Joseph Cheruiyot has said.

According to the woman’s neighbours, the woman who is under police custody at Ol Joro Orok police station hated and harassed the diseased young girl over unidentified reasons.

The area residents who thronged the woman’s home condemned the act as the girl’s body was discovered hanging in the bedroom with several injuries.

Observations made at the scene gave leads that the girl must have been tortured before her death.

The OCPD said the woman will be charged with murder of her child once the police complete investigations.

The suspect is an orphan and has raised the child that she gave birth to when 19.
