"The elephants migrate within the reserve and sometimes outside. If they find the area where they feed has been destroyed they will migrate to other areas, most likely Serengeti, in Tanzania," he said.
Mr Omondi said they noticed the destruction during aerial census for elephants and other animals in the Mara last week.
Omondi said KWS would petition stakeholders to stop the destruction to prevent elephants from crossing over to Tanzania. He said they discovered remains of an elephant killed by poachers at Tiana area in the reserve.
