A 45 year old teacher from Baringo North District died instantly after she was struck with a stone thrown by a man alleged to be of unsound mind.
Pauline Mulwa, a teacher at Kimukul Primary School from Korkowonin village is said to have been on her way home at around 9 am last Thursday when she met her sudden death.
Confirming the incident, Officer Commanding Police Division (OCPD) Ndungu wa Ikonya said that the deceased met a one Joshua Kibii suspected to be of unstable mind chasing a cow from his shamba where he hit her with a stone.
The OCPD said that it was not clearly established whether at the time of the incident the 30 year old man was ill or it was a planned move.
Ikonya said the accused has been arrested and charged while the body of the deceased was moved to Kabarnet Mortuary awaiting a postmortem.
