The former legislator’s body was discovered in his house by neigbours who called police on Tuesday morning. Both Ewaton’s body and that of the wife had bullet wounds.
Police have confirmed the incident and said they are at the scene of the incident, which was reported at about 9 am on Tuesday. The former MP is a licensed gun holder.
Rift Valley head of CID Sameul Nyabengi said they are aware of the incident.
“We are aware of the incident and the bodies are in the house,” he said.
The former MP had held the seat since he won it in the 1992 up to 2007 when he was removed by the current Josephat Nanok.
Police say they are yet to know the motive of the incident. The scene of the incident is remote.
