BY MUNENE KAMAU

Nairobi Metropolitan minister Jamleck Kamau has urged Narc-Kenya presidential aspirant Martha Karua to join Uhuru Kenyatta’s political axis.

Kamau said he did not wish to see Karua left out of the next government and advised her to cross over before it becomes too late.

“I am appealing to my sister whom I love so much, Martha Karua to agree to join Uhuru Kenyatta who is certainly forming the next government so that she is not left out in the cold,” he said.

Kamau said unless such a move was made on time, then, Karua will be left in isolation since the wave was in favour of Uhuru.

Speaking at Kagumo market in Kirinyaga Central District, Kirinyaga County, after he distributed 400 driving licenses to area boda boda operators, Kamau said unity of purpose was paramount at this point and time.

Karua has persistently declined to form or join any political alliance and insists she will go it alone.

She maintains her party is different from the rest as it comprises the face of Kenya.

Accompanied by Kirinyaga Central MP and host Gachoki Gitari, the minister also supported the biometric voting system, saying it will avert chances of vote manipulation.

Gitari also expressed similar sentiments and claimed those advocating for the manual system had a hidden agenda.
