With victory then she will become the first woman ever to rise to the US Presidency.

If elected, the moment will finally have come when the glass ceiling isn’t just shattered but ceases to exist. She will join an exclusive league of powerful women leaders across the globe that have risen to the top to clean the mess created by men. Hillary will bring to the White House and indeed to the world stage a rich experience that spurns over thirty years. Experiences that include life as a civil rights activist; a lawyer, a first lady; a Senator and the most travelled Secretary of state.

Hillary is just the latest female political leader. Other notable figures include

Theresa May-The UK prime minister who took over following the surprise Brexit results. Having campaigned for Britain to remain as part of European Union, her candidature for the Conservative party leader was given a boost when Michael Gove politically back stabbed a fellow leave campaigner Boris Johnson throwing the latter’s bid in disarray. May was seen as a candidate who would steady the ship from the backlash that followed the referendum results and so far she has not disappointed. North of the UK boarder is Scotland-a devolved unit headed by Nicola Sturgeon enjoying power at the helm of a resurgent SNP.

The other notable woman is the prudent Angela Merkel-the German Chancellor. Sometime called the Queen of Europe she is a down to earth woman who last year strongly advocated for an open door policy during the European Migration crisis in which thousands of Syrians were settled in Germany. Other prominent women politicians who have changed the script include President Sirleaf Johnson of Liberia, Aung San Suu Kyi the Prime minister of Myanmar and Erna Solberg of Norway.

Women are being propelled in to political leadership, coming to the rescue and steering the nations from the mess men have dragged us in. After all women are the world’s natural diplomats and the healers of the nations.
