Arrest warrant out for terror suspects on bond

Mombasa, Kenya: A Mombasa court has issued a warrant of arrest against Warda Islam Breik, the wife of a British terror suspect Jermaine Grant for failing to attend her trial which was set to resume yesterday at Shanzu court in Mombasa.

Ms Breik, who is facing charges of being in possession of bomb making chemicals along with her husband is out on a bond of Sh20 million with a similar surety.

The arrest warrant was issued by Mombasa Senior Principal Magistrate Grace Gandani after she failed to turn up in court without explanation.

The magistrate also ordered the arrest of Grant's co-accused Frank Ngala who is also out on a bond of Sh500,000 with similar surety.

There was neither a response from the dock when Warda's and Ngala's names were called out by the court clerk for the trial to resume nor were their lawyers present in court to explain their absence.
