Balala upbeat as tourism records 24pc growth

International tourists’ arrivals at the Coast have grown by 24 per cent in the last three months. Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala said the sector has also in the last one and half years witnessed increased local investment.

The Government is upbeat and is already in talks with several airlines in efforts to revive directs flights to Moi International Airport in Mombasa to boast the arrivals. Tourists fell by more than 60 per cent from 2011 due to terror attacks.
