Manchester United rocked by two fresh injuries ahead of Leicester clash

Manchester United's plans for Saturday's top-of-the-table clash with Leicester have been rocked by two fresh injuries.

Defender Marcos Rojo and winger Jesse Lingard, both of whom have been key men for United in recent weeks, are both understood to be out of the match encounter — which will see United top the Premier League if they beat Claudio Ranieri's surprise table-toppers.

The loss of Rojo, with Phil Jones already unavailable, could mean a recall for young defender Paddy McNair, as well as a possible switch to three at the back for United.

Van Gaal began his United tenure playing with three centre-backs, but ditched the formation when it became abundantly clear his players were not comfortable with it.

United are already without Jones and Ander Herrera, while there is a question mark over whether Michael Carrick, who has not played since suffering an injury on international duty with England, will return on Saturday.
