The yield on Kenya's 182-day Treasury bill fell to 7.245 percent from 7.511 percent at the previous sale, the Central Bank of Kenya said on Thursday.
The bank accepted bids worth 5.32 billion shillings ($70.49 million) this week. It had offered 6.5 billion shillings worth of bills, and received offers worth Sh5.34 billion, representing a 82 percent subscription rate.
The government has increased its planned borrowing for this fiscal year to fund ambitious spending plans aimed at supporting growth in the face of the global downturn and severe drought.
