Swimmers from Braeburn School, Nairobi, were on the top of the world, recording memorable accolades at Brookside National Age Group Championships.
The honours included re-writing national records and carrying home a bagful of medals from the Kenya Swimming Federation-organised event.

Field claimed eight gold medals to help Braeburn to finish first runner-up behind winners Oshwal Academy Mombasa in the girls’ category. She won 100m freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke to prove her smartness over the length.
Field was equally impressive at 50 metres length bagging gold in the backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle events.
Field then combined efforts with Chanttelle Mukabi, Becky Kamau and Rhea Nawab to clinch gold in both 50m medley and freestyle relays.

"To win eight gold medals in a national championship is not only impressive but very encouraging," said of her success at the gala.
"My desire is to win more medals at the triple ‘A’ gala this weekend," she said of her future plans.
Micah Fernandez was in top form, shattering three national records in 60m breaststroke where he recorded 39.20 and 100m breaststroke (1:25.40).
"The results did not come by chance. I had to work hard for them by training every morning to improve on my speed," said Fernandez.
Braeburn’s head coach Lindsay Takkunen expressed joy over the performance of her team and she said: "This is a fantastic show considering that we presented the smallest team of nine swimmers."
"We look forward to maintain the form during the triple A championships at St Austin’s Academy this weekend," Lindsay said when the team arrived in Nairobi from Mombasa yesterday.
Other star swimmers in the team were Kotecha siblings Gouri (three gold, two silver and one bronze) and Gaurav (one silver, one bronze).
Others from Braeburn who won medals were Tamara Cesaroni and Emily Moir. Swimmers now focus to the triple ‘A’ gala.
