CRICKET: Mishra leads Bombay to victory

Former national team batsman Tanmay Mishra led Bombay Gymkhana to 22 runs victory over P.J. Hindu Gymkhana in the Police Invitation Shield Cricket tournament in Bombay, India over the weekend.

The Stray Lions player, Mishra scored 120 runs to lead Bombay Gymkhana to 322 all out in 69.4 overs after winning the toss.

In reply, Hindu Gymkhana fell 22 runs short of the target as they were restricted to 300 for 8 in the allotted 70 overs.

Neil Narvekar was the other Bombay’s top performer with the bat with 57 runs. Badre Alam was Hindu Gymkhana’s top scorer with 4 for 61.
