Alan Shearer has thrown his hat into the ring to become the next England boss.

And Shearer admitted he would like the chance to take over as his country's boss.
The former Newcastle striker revealed he even asked The FA to make him England manager before Hodgson's arrival, only to be knocked back.
Shearer said: "I went to see The FA four or five years ago and I said 'I want it. I'll have that job.'

Linker pointed out that Franz Beckenbauer won the World Cup with West Germany without previous experience as a manager.
"I would definitely speak to them," Shearer admitted.
"I would offer my experience and tournament experience."
