Raila speaks about NASA unity and why he went to the US


Opposition leader Raila Odinga has downplayed claims that there is disunity in the newly formed NASA alliance saying that all the four leaders are committed to staying together despite some effort to separate them.

Speaking to the press on Tuesday at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport few minutes after he jetted in the country from the US, Raila said that they have agreed as NASA leaders that each and everyone is going to do his best to get the ticket, thereafter be supported by the rest.

According to him each and of them is deploying what he thinks would make him a preferred candidate of the competition.

He further said that they are experienced politicians who are not ready to lose focus because of some outside forces that want to break their newly formed alliance.

“ In NASA we are we are together and we are not ready to lose focus. We will remain calm even under pressure because experience provides us with political shock absorbers,” said Raila.

Raila allegedly said that the Government has a hand in the so-called tension in NASA.He also said that the media is exaggerated the issue causing panic to their supporter.

Additionally, he said that Kenyans trust them and they will still maintain their steadfastness as NASA leaders.

On the other hand, Raila said that he visited the US to keep in touch with his seasoned friends both from the political divide and business sector.

The opposition leader hinted that he used the opportunity to discuss a number of issues of interest to our country, investments and appeal to the business class in America to consider Kenya, especially the county governments for investment.
