World’s most handsome criminal to launch modelling and acting career on release from jail

A ‘handsome felon’ who became an online sensation when his mug-shot went viral has appointed an agent to help launch his modelling career when he leaves prison.

Jeremy Meeks said he felt “extremely blessed and very thankful” that people appreciate his looks – and revealed that he has been working out ahead of his release, which he hopes will be in November.

The chisel-jawed, blue-eyed felon, who is serving 27 months in a Nevada prison for gun offences, is using Jim Jordan of White Cross Management to help him become a model and actor, ABC News reported. Meeks was nicknamed 'Dreamy McMugshot' following the posting, which went viral - with thousands women viewing and commenting on the picture.Meeks even reportedly signed a $20,000 modelling contract following the reaction to his photo.

He told ABC: “I’m in a place where I will be able to provide for my family and really change my life. “I never thought that everyone in the world would recognize me for my looks, so I feel extremely blessed and very thankful.”

Meeks - whose photo went viral after police in Stockton, California posted it on Facebook - added that he has been doing “a lot of push-ups, pull-ups, dips, burpees” and is on a strict diet in a bid to “get ripped” before he is granted parole. That could come as early as November, because of good behavior. Meeks was arrested last June with cops finding a semi-automatic .45 handgun and two extended magazines in his cars.

The 30-year-old Californian said he would like to star in TV shows such as the crime series, Sons of Anarchy.

Mr. Jordan told ABC he was confident Meeks’ notoriety could ensure his client has a successful career. He said: “There is a sea of opportunities waiting for him [through] modelling agencies around the world, endorsement deals and reality show interests.” As for that mug shot, Meeks said he wasn't intentionally giving his best “blue steel” for the picture. “I was just thinking about missing my family,” he said. “I was really thinking about my son a lot at that moment - that was the only thing that was on my mind.” Until then, Meeks said he is keeping his head down and relying on backing from the outside. He added: “I've got a lot of support my family, my friends, and from my fans. I get hundreds and hundreds of letters every month. I’m very thankful for all the support I've been getting.”
