Knut threatens to sue Sarah Serem, Henry Rotich

The Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) has threatened to move to court seeking removal of Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) chairperson Sarah Serem and Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich to pave way for salary increment negotiations.

Speaking in Suba sub-county during a homecoming party of Knut Deputy Secretary General Charles Katege, union's chairman Mudzo Nzili said the two are behind failed salary negotiations.

"Ms Serem interferes with salary negotiations between Knut and the Teachers Services Commission while Mr Rotich insists Government has no funds to effect teachers' salary increment," he said.
