The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education has threatened to go on strike next week if the government does not harmonize the allowances of its members with those of civil servants. Speaking in Nairobi today, the deputy secretary general of Kuppet Moses Nthurima said with the 7 day strike notice all teachers in post primary institutions will keep off from their work stations until further notice if the government does not address their grievances. The teachers are also planning peaceful street protests as part of the strike.
