Often in life we are faced with difficulties that threaten to demoralize us and this is the situation that three women found themselves in after being diagnosed with the HIV virus in central Kenya. In this feature we tell you about charity, Caroline and Alice and what they underwent after their HIV status was disclosed to them. They all hail from different parts of Nyeri County. They claim they were highly stigmatized and abandoned by their husbands after the revelation, perhaps this bringing to light the high levels of stigma that is still prevalent in central Kenya.
