The Konza city techno polis has secure 16 billion shillings from the government to go into infrastructure development. Bulk of the amount will go into the construction of a dam for the 5,000 acre flagship project in a bid to attract more foreign investment into the project. The African development bank has also stepped in with support for the project, as the government strives to increase the level of foreign investor participation.
