KTN Prime: Thousands of litres illicit brew destroyed in Meru

Police in Imenti south district have destroyed over two thousand litres of a local illicit brew called ‘mugacha’ and arrested three suspects for selling the brew. Three bars in Nkubu town where the brew was being sold have also been closed. Imenti south district commissioner Dominic Kyenza and the local police boss John Cheruiyot led the operation after they discovered that some licenced bars in Nkubu town were selling illicit brews. The district commissioner urged residents to work together with the provincial administration in eradicating illicit brews.
