KTN Prime: Mombasa Highway Prayers

Matatu operators plying the Mombasa-Nairobi highway today held prayers at the scene of the July 4 accident at Bonje near Mazeras that claimed the lives of 14 people. The Matatu operators blocked traffic on both sides of the road to hold prayers that lasted about an hour, hoping to end what the say is a jinx on that part of the road. Just 10 days after that accident, two other people died at the same spot when their bus rolled and crashed injuring several others.
