now many of us are familiar with the diverse animal types that exist but there is a particular species of cows that many Kenyans are unaccustomed to. the ankole cows from uganda have huge protruding horns that amaze many who lay their eyes on them. in ol pejeta conservancy in laikipia we come across these ankole cows that were brought in from Uganda in 2004 for their conserveration as they have been long considered to be an endangered species. this sanctuary is the only place where the ankole cows can be found in Kenya.
