And as sixty ultra sound machines that aid in pregnancy care are distributed throughout the country by Philips company and the ministry of medical services a project aimed at reducing infant mortality and maternal deaths KTN’s Mercy Kandie brings us the story of traditional practices vis-à-vis modern healthcare this amid estimation by the world health organization that two hundred and ninety one thousand women in developing countries will die from pregnancy-related causes in 2012 alone.
