Congolese warlord Thomas Lubanga Dyilo became the first person ever to be sentenced by the International Criminal Court after he was handed a 14-year sentence this morning. He is going to prison for recruiting and using child soldiers in his rebel army between 2002 and 2003 in the eastern democratic republic of Congo. But as KTN’s Edith Kimani reports, after a three year court case, Lubanga may only end up serving eight years behind bars.
