The World Bank has indicated it will continue funding projects in the energy sector especially on renewable energy. The institution has already spent over 400 million dollars in financing geothermal exploration and production in Kenya
Speaking at a visit to Olkaria geothermal power plant, visiting world bank directors also said the bank had pledged over 100 million us dollars in the specific project. The directors however challenged the country to also invest in wind and solar energy as part of its renewable energy plans. At the same time, KENGEN’s managing director eddy Njoroge assured the country of steady power generations noting that water levels at its generation dams were at peak
