The executive now seems divided over the nullification of the appointment of County commissioners. justice and constitutional affairs minister Eugene Eamalwa lauded the court ruling saying the rule on gender parity must be observed even as acting head of public service francis kimemia announced the government has directed the attorney general to appeal against the ruling. Earlier internal security permanent secretary Mutea Iringo urged the county commissioners to stay put adding that some sectors like security would otherwise have to compromise on competence and experience to meet the gender rule as stipulated is by the constitution.
