The delay in the completion of the Othaya level four hospital in Nyeri South District has sparked off controversy with questions being raised over its nine month delay given that residents of central region should have started enjoying its services from February this year. The parliamentary public accounts committee led by its chair Dr Bonny Khalwale toured the facility and blamed the contractor Jaswant Singh and brothers limited for the delay. The ministry of public works also received blame for its slow supervision of the project. However the hospital is now expected to be complete by November 30th this year.
