The law society of Kenya and a section of the civil society are concerned that the next general election might fail the credibility test if police reforms are not completed as soon as possible. They’ve called on president Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga to urgently reconstitute a panel to vet nominees to the national police service commission, and to ensure that the commission is in place before the end of July.
